on my x86_64 hybrid OpenSuse 10.1 / SUSE 10.1 (which has been upgraded from 10.0 from 9.3 from 9.2):

both appeared to work.

fou4s --inverse -iv --all --only dovecot
worked using  rsync://ftp-1.gwdg.de.

This (in the default fou4s.conf) is deprecated (at least for 10.0 and 10.1):
Server=rsync://ftp-1.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/%ARCH/supplementary/KDE/update_for_%VERSION/
and
Server=rsync://ftp-1.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/KDE:/KDE3/SUSE_Linux_%VERSION/
does not work :)

BTW  In the past when upgrading to 9.3 (from 9.2) or 10.0 (from 9.3) using a copy of the SuSE DVD on the hard drive; YOU continued to think that it was the old version, and could no longer be used: Fou4s was then the only way to maintain updates automatically. I never did find out where YOU got its version information from.

(Markus, kerry.eng-int.net is currently at 10.0  but I will probably install 10.1 from the SuSE DVD tomorrow morning.)
