No. I tried on my older desktop and just about halfway installing I got a 
black screen and spent the rest of the day moving drives around and doing full 
reinstall. It caused a corrupted GPT.

My 2 cents: update to latest 15.x, manually change repo URL's and upgrade that 
way.
