TLF on OpenSuSE 11.1

Good Day,

I am wondering if anyone uses tlf on opensuse.

On my machine, when it starts, a buffer overflows and the program 
stops.  The errors are similar to those found at 
<http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1045247.html>.  However no 
solutions were posted there.

Using the debug information it appeared the error appeared in 
clear_display.  However I am not confident in that.

Should there some compatibility libraries be installed? Should I start 
hacking the source looking for this error?
