Thanks Stakanov for your thoughts... As far as I can tell I do not have any screen scaling going on. Starting with the KDE Application Menu, I looked at the Settings > Configure Desktop > Hardware > Display and Monitor > Displays > Scale Display dialog and the scale slider is set at 0. I am not sure if this is the same setting that you wanted me to take a look at as I do not know where else to look for the "monitor and screen settings" that you referred to. Marc..
