As I also use Konversation, this is very interesting concept to try. So I have 
to install bitlbee (it seems it should have Google Hangouts support) or matrix 
server and then use Konversation or Quaternion to access the Hangouts?
Especially for the Matrix I'm still bit confused how it works regarding 
Hangouts, where is my password traveling around and so on...
