It looks like the '@' was replaced by 'at' on the above page
automatically because the original command looked like
an e-mail address. and the option '-w' doesn't seem to exist either.

this mail described how to do it with the CODE2000 font for
Ethiopic. It probably works the same wath with the TITUSCBZ.ttf font
for Hindi.

By the way, the CODE2000 font also seems to  support Hindi:
