I stopped using Amarok as main mp3-player and use now mpd / gmpc as my main 
mp3-player. It is worth to have a look at it. There are minor issues with gmpc 
too but all in all it fits better my needs. For editing albums I still use 
Amarok 1. AFAIR there is a backport for 11.2
