I used cinelerra from yast (don't know what repo), on 11.3, without
problem else than frequent crashes, probably due to the lack of memory.

this software also is very old (before year 2000), so interface
soecial, vocabulary special and file formats limiteds. Seems to be
mostly used with jpeg (one image is one jpeg file, professional
format, with 24 files for 1s film...)
