Is it because i use .rpm > files, or I miss something ? You downloaded a product called "Oracle XE" and the page you are consulting is about a product called "Oracle 10g Release 1 (10.1.0.3.0)". They are two different products, I suggest you to search for documentation in order to understand the difference. Since Oracle XE is distributed in RPM format, you have to install it using the rpm command, not the Oracle Universal installer.
