It don't means much. To support EVMS means: - to use it internally in Novell, at least for some installations - to run QA tests with it on every new update - to adjust all startup services and have a well tested documentation aligned with the current version - in case of evms, test it in the cluster. 1 year ago (in 2007) we could see EVMS/OCFSv2 cluster running in the LinuxWorld, so we knew that (at least someone in Novell) works with it. But I never saw anyone mentioned evms since this event 1 year ago. (Btw, the same with iSCSI - ok, Novel always called iSCSI as a primary thing, but it was not aligned with LVM and was not aligned with mount in SLES10-release, and I doubt that much changed since this time. I need to edit iscsi scripts even in old and rock solid SLES9 SP3/SP4 to make them run properly - for example, to run mounts syncronously so that otehr services can depend on iSCSI, not saying about making lvm and cluster work with iscsi - which required chanegs in a few iscsi commands and few fixes in lvm). So, can anyone confirm that EVMS is still really supported (and used) by Novell? ----- Original Message ----- From: "J.H.M.
