Any dbwriter trace which displays:
WARNING:Oracle process running out of OS kernel I/O resources 

If that’s the case, maybe you are hitting BUG:5609038

Set these parameters as a workaround:
disk_asynch_io = false
filesystemio_options = none

Yes, it's coming from AIO portion of kernel code and I am sure kernel update
will fix this. Also. SLES10 SP3 is latest and it's includes this fix.
