Hi Alex, I have installed openSUSE 12.3 ppc32 on a usb stick with QEMU with following command: qemu-system-ppc -M mac99 -m 2048 -bios /usr/share/openbios/openbios-ppc -cdrom openSUSE-NET-ppc-Build0022-Media.iso -usb -usbdevice host:0781:556c -boot order=d -net nic,vlan=0,model=e1000 -net user,vlan=0 After a rsync on a X1000's partition, it boots well on my X1000.
