Suse 7.3, sparcstation 20, QLogic scsi adapter

I have recently inherited a SparcStation 20 with no internal hard drive, an external hard drive on a QLogic SBus card, and an internal CD-ROM. When I try to install Suse 7.3 from the cd-rom, it fails to see the hard drive.

SunOS 5.6 is currently installed on the external drive and seems to run ok (at least, it boots without error). I want to replace it with Suse, but yast gets as far as probing hardware and reports "Error: no hard disks were found for the installation. Please check your hardware."

probe-scsi-all returns:
/iommu@f,e0000000/sbus@f,e0001000/QLGC,isp@0,10000
Target 0
Unit 0 Disk Seagate ST410800W ....

How do I tell yast where to find the hard drive? Do I need to load a driver for the adapter, and if so, how?

Thank you.

Christine
