char-major-11

I am running finally SuSE Sparc 7.3 on my Sunblade 100 thanx to
downgrading OpenBoot to 4.5.9 (o;

Why do I get lots of "can't locate char-major-11" on the console?


Also I'm recompiling the kernel with 2.4.20 'cause 2.4.14 has
no support for the Sunblade 100 soundchip. So the right steps
would just be:

    make vmlinux
    make modules
    make modules_install

and move the vmlinux and System-map to /boot?
