Actually that new patch makes the problem worse for me. With it I get an
immediate kernel-Oops on preparing image. The full stacktrace is
available at http://mhensler.de/swsusp/3.12-inccluster-oops.jpg

For reference: the oops occurs in mm/swapfile.c in function
inc_cluster_info_page() which was called from get_swap_range_of_type().

Looking at the code I have no direct clue what is wrong there, so
hopefully you have an idea.

I am able to reproduce this issue with current git-version on Linux
3.12.5 and 3.12.6.
