Nope. No go.

It says it's searching for Tao Linux installations then after only one
or two seconds goes to the screen where I get to choose installation type,
i.e.: workstation, server, custom, etc. No upgrade choice at all.

/etc/redhat-release is a symlink to /etc/tao-release, which contains:

	Tao Linux release 1 (Mooch Update 4)

I really would rather not blow it away and install from scratch, so
I'm still open to suggestions.
