The mess with the yum configuration files is something we are working on 
with the CentOS people. There will be a centos-release package that comes 
with all the configuration files seperately so that the yum and apt 
packages do not conflict with each other.

If you haven't already installed the rpmforge-release package for 
configuring our repository, it may be the right time to switch.

This is a fine example that again proves that Open Source is often a more 
reliable choice. You will seldom see something like this for proprietary 
products. People really do care, companies seldom do (especially if 
there's nothing to gain from).

David, you earned my respect and gratitude in the past for your work, and 
your latest decision and action does not change that for a bit :) Hope you 
do well !
