How many people are running mysql servers that accept anonymous 
connections? I doubt not that many. At least people who are running real 
servers (what RHEL / TaoLinux is for, right?).

Anyway, it's all the same for me if there is anything done to the 
package, it's just my own setup I'm worried about :) So, I'd like to 
know what did you do with your own setup? You just left it alone and 
ignored the error?

At least for me it is not just the message about mysql failuring start: 
My email server (qmailtoaster), which stores it's authentication data in 
MySQL, stopped working after the update. But maybe this was unrelated 
and it was just the restart that caused it?
