Re: anything dns related crashes?

Try to find the kernel-XXXXX.src.rpm corresponding to the kernel RPM you're running, and in which 
things work. (Not to be confused with kernel-source-XXXXX.rpm). The patches are in there.

According to this (http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-list/2003-December/msg00493.html)

the patches you should be looking for are

linux-*-nptl-A1.patch
linux-*-nptl-exec-shield.patch

Im my case it would be kernel-2.4.21-20.1TL.src.rpm (where can I get it BTW?) Whether they'll apply 
cleanly to the latest 2.4.x is another matter.
