That would be great! Fortunately I did not send my order for a new 
motherboard+cpu's etc. yet.

I wouldn't mind if the installer doesn't automagically finds the 
card+driver, I could load the module by hand. It could be added to the 
FAQ that the 3w-9xxx is supported at install time it would just mean 
insmodding by hand. But ideally a patch that does it all would be best.

Insmodding by hand would be a really tiny small annoyance, lacking the 
complete driver is causing me grey hairs :)
