An upgrade from RH9 and older is reasonably painless as it is indeed an upgrade (I'm not sure if maybe a couple of packages are older, but the base system is near identical), Fedora has many more recent packages and so you would have to downgrade a lot of the core system in the process... It is definitely not likely to go smoothly... Dan
