Is this problem repeatable then? Run mozilla, shut down & get '/var busy'? If so, try running mozilla, then as root, manually switch to single-user (telinit S), stopping services, and using 'fuser' to see what's keeping it busy (might want to 'man fuser'). e.g.: /sbin/fuser -m /var /var: 1826 1826r 1826c 1826e 1895 1895r 1895e 1952 1952r 1952c 1952e 1957 1957r 1957e 1959 1959r 1959e ... The letter codes indicate how the process is making it busy. regards, David > Steve Campbell > campbell-TtXmYh9KqR1Wk0Htik3J/[email protected] > Charleston Newspapers > > _______________________________________________ > Tao-discuss mailing list > [email protected] > http://mailman.taolinux.org/mailman/listinfo/tao-discuss _______________________________________________ Tao-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.taolinux.org/mailman/listinfo/tao-discuss
