Hi, I posted this problem on other more general newsgroups, but didn't get a reply, I thought maybe someone would be of help here. I'm using Tao Linux on my 3 linux servers and this problem only shows on that one. I have another one with 2 nics and it is ok. Here is the problem: I have one onboard 3com 920 and a pci 3com 905 network card. Recently, the pci card stopped working, and I found out that the device name wasn't eth1 anymore, it was something like dev14848. I tried re-detecting it with kudzu and it gave another dev*****. The other card works perfectly on eth0. Anyone got an idea where it gets this device name from? Thanks, -- Ugo Bellavance Administrateur de systèmes Camo-route inc.
