Hi, First, this is my first post in this list, and I want to say THANK YOU !!! Really, you saved me alot of time, and all my box are Very stable, because of you.. Now, Ive just tryed a FTP install of Tao 4 Pre(?) Beta, and everything is being going smooth, but here what I noticed : My installation I do is always a Minimal install (from the package selection) 1- Im installing it into a VMWare GSX Session, and by default it use SCSI disk, and it seem the installer haven't detected it. So I decided to use IDE drive for the moment. 2- On the first boot, I had a Redhat Logo (with a count down of a few seconds) 3-smartd failled at first boot(probably normal for the RHEL4 too) 4-/etc/yum.conf have RH stuff in it, Ive put the correct informations in it manually (BTW, YUM IS FAST NOW !!! WOOHOO hehe, not as fast as apt-get but still better) 5-default HTML page for httpd contain Red Hat text 6-kernel source package is missing ??? I mean, it about all I see so far, I'll play with it more, but install was smooth, except this yum.conf I had to change, everything work fine I think. YOU ROCK. I'll keep you posted if I see anything else Marc O. Chouinard
