I would guess that RHEL4 is broken. Tinysofa maintainer emailed me about 
the same issue a while ago and I replied at 
http://www.raimokoski.com/pipermail/lineox_developer_discussion/2005-February/000017.html
and the suggestion that beta2 package could be used is better than 
building on EL3, IMHO.
