Where is ftape 4?

What happened to ftape 4?  v3 is in the kernel, but it appears v4 was 
abandoned.  I need the parallel port driver from v4 (|bpck-fdc|) but it 
won't compile, and actually appears to never have been ported to kernel 
2.6.  Is there some gimmick to compiling that I'm missing?  If it works, 
why isn't it in the kernel?

Please CC this e-mail address, as I haven't subscribed.  I apologize, I 
know how annoying that is, but there's no point in subscribing if v4 is 
abandoned.
