Thank you, Robyn. Now I have another problem. After compiling, I tried to load the modules and use my tape drive, but it doesn't work. I have a Iomega Ditto Easy 800 (connected to the parallel port), so I think I have to use the bpck-fdc driver. That's what appears in my /var/log/messages when I load the modules: Jun 21 00:06:25 due kernel: ftape v4.05 03/17/2002 Jun 21 00:06:25 due kernel: Jun 21 00:06:25 due kernel: (c) 1993-1996 Bas Laarhoven Jun 21 00:06:25 due kernel: (c) 1995-1996 Kai Harrekilde-Petersen Jun 21 00:06:25 due kernel: (c) 1996-2000 Claus-Justus Heine <[email protected]) Jun 21 00:06:25 due kernel: Jun 21 00:06:25 due kernel: QIC-117 driver for QIC-40/80/3010/3020/Ditto 2GB/MAX floppy tape drives.
