Iomega Ditto Easy 800 not detected by bpck-fdc

I have a Iomega Ditto Easy 800 (connected to the parallel port), but 
bpck-fdc doesn't detect it. I've RedHat Linux 7.2, kernel 2.4.7-10 on a i586.
