HI, I have successfuly installed ftape-20020321 from a tar ball and run Amanda as my backup program. I have a Colorado T-3000 internal backup drive that uses tr-3 tapes. My machine has the post-1991 82077 floppy drive controller and I run linux-2.4.17 modular kernerl which I built myself. My questions is that while performing backups I can only get a maximum backup up speed of about 80 kbps! I have read in the ftape literautre that my fdc is capable of about 2 Mbps and I know that the backup drive can handle up to 19 Mbps. Is there a setting that I am missing somewhere that I can use to speed up the backup process? Any help would be appreaciated. -- Trevor Morrison Hailix, LLC [email protected] - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-tape" in the body of a message to [email protected] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
