right, thats how it will work if its done ... all we are working on atm
is the execution infrastructure, there hasnt even been any attempt to
start working on the xdg spec integration as planned...

you dont use ltsp-build-client, ltsp-update-image or anything of the
plugin system like all other distros do. instead of wrapping
ltsp-build-client though the plugin system around the distro specific
build tools (debootstrap for ubuntu/debian, anaconda for fedora or (i
think) emerge for gentoo) you just ignore the upstream tools and use
kiwi (which is exactly the opposite way round eveyone else does
it ...) ... we discussed that various of times over the last year since
you started working on the kiwi implementation and you always said you
would not be able to do what we asked you for with kiwi (intresting that
its possible for all other distros with their tools and that vagrant
even wrote you two example plugins that would have done it with kiwi
already  which you dont/didnt use yet) ...

i dont say kiwi is bad but the way you use the ltsp code its clearly a
fork ... i personally (and i know many of the other devs as well) would
love to see you using the upstream tools so that you and every opensuse
admin using ltsp can make contributions to the core code as well which
the backwards implemented design (wrapping ltsp scripts into the distro
build tool insted of wrapping the distro build tool and setup into the
ltsp plugins) simply prevents ...
