all or most of that code was originally part of another script or other scripts
(though i forget exactly which), and i merely copied the copyright information
over, as it was nearly impossible to distinguish what parts of the code it
applied to. i suspect quite possibly some (potentially small part) of the code
does come from jim back in 2002, and maybe used the boilerplate thing from
canonical with permission from jim.

i wouldn't be surprised if warren did contribute to the code in some way, even
if not represented from commit logs, as we all work on stuff collaboratively,
no?

that's what i can assemble from an imperfect memory, at least.
