Please help testing Ubuntu's future LTSP

Hello,

Over the last week, thanks to some coordinated effort of Vagrant and
I, Debian and Ubuntu finally share a single version of ldm, meaning
only the ltsp package is now different between Debian and Ubuntu.

I'm not planning on improving this situation much for Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
but I'm planning on getting a new LTSP in there anyway.
This will be what I'll need to support for the 5 years of this LTS
release, so I'd really appreciate any help in making it as solid as
possible.

Yesterday I took a snapshot of our current ltsp trunk and uploaded it
to my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~stgraber/+archive/experimental/+packages

I'd encourage people to install an up to date Precise system and then
add this PPA.
This can be done with:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:stgraber/experimental
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install ltsp-server-standalone
sudo rm -Rf /opt/ltsp
sudo ltsp-build-client

Anyone who doesn't understand what the commands above will do, really
shouldn't even try these packages :)

I have created an Etherpad pad at:

It'd be great if anyone testing these packages could log the
discovered issues there. Please don't bother reporting bugs at this
stage and feel free to add any previously reported bug to this list if
it matters to you.

I'd really appreciate it if these who helped with the
initramfs-scripts.d, udev and ltsp_config.d could test these packages
and make sure everything is working using the new stuff.
I admit having used grep through the upstream branch to try and figure
out that stuff, so I'm far from sure I got it right.

Anyone who's been involved with major changes in trunk recently should
have a look at the upstream issues list on the pad and when possible,
fix them in trunk and comment in the pad.

I'll try to rebase my packages on the current trunk and do appropriate
packaging changes as people comment in there.

I'm hoping to tag a new upstream LTSP, maybe even LTSP 5.3 once we're
done with the tests and then upload it to Ubuntu.
