The only thing that worries me slightly is the Open Invention Network is
registered as an LLC, rather than as some form of non-profit or charitible
organization:

An LLC has limited oversight, and the community has little recourse if the
owners of OIN wake up one day and decide to sell off all their patents to
patent trolls and retire to some tax shelter in the Carribean... so it's ki=
nd
of relying on blind trust in the individuals who *own* OIN.

I'm no expert, but it just seems they're organized in a way that limits the
ability of the community to hold them accountable.
