apparently no other distro apart from debian (and recently fedora) found
it worth to participate so i dont see why you are blaming me for doing
development as i'm used to do if nobody seems to found it worth to
participate or send any patches for implementing things another way ...

i stepped back from the leader role half a year ago, ltsp5 is team
maintained now and beware, with the new participation of fedora it might
soon only follow fedora goals if you dont go ahead and send your patches
in.

XDMCP is considered by all upstream participant as insecure and
unsupportable compared to ldm's directx mode which doesnt need any more
ressources than xdmcp but secures your password handshake before using
insecure X transport at least. we had varoius developer meetings
discussing such issues, XDMCP was never dropped from teh code, if you
find it more suitable for your distro, feel free to use it ... but also
note that i and probably others as well wont rely on insecure
implementations with feature developemnt if there is a more secure way
that offers exactly the same functionallity. that i personally dont want
to develop with focus on anything that gets my users un trouble doesnt
mean that you cant do it, we rarely refuse patches upstream ... :)
