CephFS as replacement for NFS and NBD

Hi Alkis,
I recently discovered, that dconf has limitations with NFS, which got me
thinking about network storage and LTSP in general.
From another project I have gathered quite some experience with CephFS and
Rados Block Devices - a distributed network storage software, which could
prove quite useful for LTSP as well.
The underlaying technology is called Rados, it is the actual distributed
storage layer and on top of that the project provides a Block Layer, a
Network FS layer and an object storage layer with an S3 and Swift interface.
CephFS (full POSIX compliance) could replace NFS and
Rados Block Devices could replace NBD.
Expecially in clustered setups, this would provide some advantages.
* redundancy
* more clients could be sustained, due to its distributed nature
* might even be possible to use some clients as additional distributed
storage nodes if they have HDDs
