Re: Strange encounter after update - pam?

No LTSP version touches the server PAM config.
LTSP5 doesn't touch the client PAM config.
LTSP19+ does configure the client PAM at boot time, so nothing is saved 
on disk.

So LTSP is not related at all to your server PAM issues.

The last update to LTSP5 in the Greek schools PPA was on:
ltsp - 5.18.12+t201905250652~ubuntu18.04.1     2019-05-25

Which was 4+ months ago.

So I doubt that LTSP is at all related to what you're reporting.

You can see which updates you did from /var/log/apt/history.log.
