Hi All, There was a posting back in 1999 requesting an SMP version of tomsrtbt, and I didn't see a reply in the archives. My thoughts were that the single processor kernel would just recognize one of the processors and happily run... but then I thought maybe I remembered it backwards (that an SMP kernel would run on the only processor available). Anyway, I am now troubleshooting the first dual processor box I've run into, using tomsrtbt, and I'm not sure my booting problems are hardware or not. I'll build an SMP kernel and try to shoehorn it onto the floppy if the consensus is that that is necessary, but I didn't see kernel source in the unpacked stuff, and I've been asleep on the mailing list (and didn't see info in the FAQ) so I'm not even sure what version to pick up from the kernel.org archives... Oh, nevermind, just looked at /proc/version. Have 2.2.20 source available. Steve Brown [email protected]
