I'm not quite sure what your problem is, sure, there are several ways. If the hard drive *has a linux distribution installed*, you are usually best off using chroot, something like: chroot /mnt/point/hdx9 /sbin/lilo And actually running the lilo from the installed distribution. But nothing stops you from using the one from the ram disk, of course, you must then *use the boot.b from tomsrtbt*! Maybe that is the error you are getting, you cannot mix and match the tomsrtbt lilo executable with the distributions boot.b file, so you cannot use -r without first pointing to the correct boot.b file. -Tom On Tue, 3 Jun 2003 [email protected] wrote: > Date: Tue, 03 Jun 2003 03:51:50 +0200 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [tomsrtbt] installing LILO > > Hello, > > is there any way of installing Lilo from the ram disk created by > tomsrtbt, to the hardisk of the computer?
