My new electronic mag advertized an expansion card for the Game Boy Advance (GBA). It has a Xilinx Spartan II XC2S50 FPGA on it. I checked and Digikey sells XC2S50's for $17 to $22, depending on the version. Good pics & description of the GBA device here: http://www.charmedlabs.com/xport.htm http://www.charmedlabs.com/xportfaq.htm My idea is this group can create our own "Actionhack" daughercard with the USB connection (passthrough) and one of these XC2S50 devices. Telnet to the modem, nfs mount the development box, and download the "bitstream file" of your choice to the FPGA. You can program the FPGA be a uart, or any number of other possibilities using free tools from Xilinx. This pdf gives a very good description of how this FPGA can be used: http://www.charmedlabs.com/xport-user-guide.pdf Check it out - very interesting. _________________________________________________________________ Take off on a romantic weekend or a family adventure to these great U.S. locations. http://special.msn.com/local/hotdestinations.armx __ ActionHack Mailing List - ActionHack-W7/[email protected] http://www.express.org/mailman/listinfo/actionhack http://www.embeddedlinuxinterfacing.com/wiki.php/ActiontecDualModem
