Game Boy Advance expansion card

My new electronic mag advertized an expansion card for the Game Boy Advance 
(GBA).  It has a Xilinx Spartan II XC2S50 FPGA on it.  I checked and Digikey 
sells XC2S50's for $17 to $22, depending on the version.

My idea is this group can create our own "Actionhack" daughercard with the 
USB connection (passthrough) and one of these XC2S50 devices. Telnet to the 
modem, nfs mount the development box, and download the "bitstream file" of 
your choice to the FPGA.  You can program the FPGA be a uart, or any number 
of other possibilities using free tools from Xilinx.
