Greg,

OK...I'm back on track again...

That indeed helped. It must have given me some missing USB stuff. I was
using an actual "MS-DOS" boot disk.

That new "recovery disk" allowed me to us my old WIN98se PC to reload the
bootstrap. However, when I tried to boot my Dell WinXP laptop using that
same "DOS" disk, I got zero action on the USB port [sigh]!

Anyway, I've gone "full circle" again. I re-loaded the flash bootstrap
under DOS, used TFTP off my RedHat Linux box to restore the entire OS (old
version from the files on the Wiki), then "upgraded" to the very latest
using Actiontec's Windows program.

Next, I'm gonna' try to build uClinux with Patrick's "config" and see if I
can do any better.

Patrick: I haven't heard anymore on your progress!!! What's up?

Thanks...I'll look into that.

BTW: I suspect that this ARM9 chip is really the Samsumg S3 core, and
Samsung supplies a Windows USB bootstrap with full source code.

See...

...which is a ZIP file with all the bootstrap sources.

I'm gonn'a take a peek at that tomorrow...

If this stuff was easy, everyone would be doing it! :-)

Best regards,

Bruce
