Yea, traffic shaping is a beautiful thing. I bought one of these ActionTec babies for this exact same purpose but was foiled by the door-stop concerns. I eventually just put together a mini-ITX box, which, while being far more costly, has the advantage of having enough power to do cutesy things like generate graphs of bandwidth usage and maintain detailed activity logs. Plus it saved me a heck of a lot of time... and time is money. Anyway, with my traffic shaping scripts I'm able to have several uploads and downloads going, continue serving web pages, and *still* maintain 100ms ping times for all 22 people playing Americas Army on one of my servers. And it all auto-adjusts to make sure the bandwidth is being maximally utilized. Very very cool. The only time I ever have latency issues now is when there is congestion up the link at my ISP. I'd still like to get traffic shaping to work on the ActionTec, as a backup router if nothing else.
