Dear Actiontec Dual PC Modem "Hackers": > Please be patient. The software that Actiontec has supplied us is > missing a few key source files. What they *have* supplied under > GPL is not quite right. Also, the code > for the character-mode MTD driver that writes the 2048-byte R/W > "configuration" area in flash is missing key logic. I just spoke with Jason Raichart at Actiontec. He has been busy working on our problem. He told me that he has updated the Actiontec GPL source release "tar" file to include the needed versions of the GPL source files which should solve all of the problems I have encountered so far with rebuilding the Actiontec Dual PC uClinux kernel. He has notified the Actiontec "Web guys" that a new "tar" file will need to be posted on the Web site. At this point he says that he is waiting for final approval from his manager. Jason expects to have the new source code available on the Actiontec Web site *tomorrow*. He promised to send a post to this list when the new GPL source release is ready. Thank you Jason...and Actiontec!! Best regards, Bruce -- Bruce D.
