Hi, thanks for the updated info Jack. oh I am glad to know that in a way the open source is still being updated, I guess I'm getting different stories from different groups. By the way, great work on your UPnP book~!! I have a copy and I was very impressive by the work you've done. In any case, during my previous experience at the UPnP AV plugfest, the open-source sdk miserably crashed every 5 to 30 seconds once it's booted. My assumption is that open-source sdk works fine among its own, but when working with other implementations of UPnP stack, it's not very robust. for example, one of my debugging experience is that, the sdk assumes that everything in the spec should be a 'given'. If someone in the plugfest for some weird reason is broadcasting its device with a required field that's missing (serviceId), then it might just crashed the system. Please understand I'm not putting down the open-source but sharing some problems and insights. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The best thread debugger on the planet.
