Compatibility problems with the Windows XP control point have unfortunately been around for quite some time; and the open source SDK is not the only library that has been affected. Mostly these issues haven been around executing VBScript in presentation pages. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a VBScript expert, but what I would recommend is to see if we can distinguish compatibility problems with the presentation page itself and the generic SDK. Try just hosting a simple HTML presentation page and see if you still have the same issues of device; or try using HTML + JScript instead as an alternate presentation language. Great work so far to track the issue this far. If you do find a defect in the SDK, don't forget to post to the list, or consider releasing a patch yourself! TheVB script in the presentation page is failing when it attempts to subscribe to the TV control service events like this: Dim TvControlService set TvControlService=TvDevice.Services("urn:upnp-org:serviceId:tvcontrol1") TvControlService.AddCallback GetRef("eventHandler") Instrumenting libupnp I see that "handle_request" in miniserver.c is not even being called so it doesn't appear that the event subscription message even makes it to the tv device, so the problem may not be attributable to a defect in the 1.2.1 SDK. Will come back to this in a few days and let you all know if I figure out exactly what's going on.
