Thanks everyone. My problem lied in the previous version of Firebird. FB
0.7+ works fine.

The Adobe plugin in Windows doesn't need to be installed. Flash and some
other plugins do, but not Adobe Reader.

I believe it had to do with the fact that the link was inside a Flash mov=
ie.
No other PDF links had any problems before.
