I love KDE and work in it about 80% of the time. However when I bootup I always have a terminal session open along with an xwindows session so that if I'm trying to do something and get one of those darn "permission denied" dialog boxes I can simply Alt+Ctrl+F2 over to the terminal session do what the GUI wouldn't let me do and go on my merry way. This to me is the real joy of Linux. I don't have to fight with the darn thing to get what I want. This is what makes Linux the best of all worlds to me. Paul
