I knew there would be one like you.....
Who cares about page size?  Maybe on the end of a 19.2 modem line in
East Timor or someplace, but really, when was this last a real concern?

Right now, i'm betting you are sitting at the end of a T1 or better carrying
on this argument with me (on a cable modem), while I stream 128k mp3s
from www.digitallyimported.com and surf the web on the three other boxes
within arms reach.  Half the people on this list send mail in Html with a 
duplicate plain text copy.

By what tiny fraction of what miniscule percent?  And I believe its
been fixed for over two releases.  (Its far from perfect, but thats no reason
to force everyone to write html by hand).

But non-geeks want to get something done, and have more important
things to do.  Which is exactly why I don't write my printed documents in
hpcl or postscript.  But I have to presume you do!!

I've uses all two of them that can do the things I've posted.  But they were
both windows products which I found work flawlessly under Vmware running
on top of SuSE 8.2 with a mantel Kernel.  Is that geeky enough for you?  ;-)
