I call it pre-emptive anti-flame.  And I do it to prevent ill feelings.

There is no point makeing an argument knowing full well what
the predictable result will be, without addressing those issues
ahead of time.   Doing that is Trolling, and its intellectually 
dishonest - like laying in wait.

After you've seen the argument 100 times why wait to go
thru it all again?  

When you know what counter arguments are comming, and I don't think
it unfair the shoot down those arguments before they are made,
because they WILL be made, and then when they are quickly countered
someone takes it "personal".

By pre-emptivly knocking down the predictable responses
the flame war stops before anyone gets their feelings hurt by
putting forth an argument for which there is a ready answer.

Someone with novel, new, or different arguments is still
welcome to rejoin.
