the command is knx-hdinstall

it requires a partition of around 2.5 GB and offers no choice of
package selelction. but the beauty is that you get to taste first by
booting of the cd and if everything works than the hard-disk install
should work as well.

once the packages are installed, i suppose one could run dselect and
remove unwanted packages, but i have never done this yet.

the hardware detection and support in knoppix is nothing short of
amazing.
