I suppose I wasn't clear. I have no problem with /proc, really. The few times I have to write about it I'm able to do so with a combo of RTFM and Google. There's a treasure trove of information in there for people who are inclined to go snooping. I was responding to someone else's post, the person saying that to understand /proc you have to read the kernel source. If that is true then that qualifies as an annoyance.
